After you generous souls raised over £12,000 for Pay it Forwards in 2023, we were able to invite even more people to join the party in 2024 who have never been able to to due to financial barriers. 100% of the donations you lot made whilst buying your tickets, getting your drinks in at the bar, or donating through our website, were used to create full festival experiences (inc tickets, food, drink, accommodation and travel) for those in receipt Government Cost of Living Payments.
Here’s what a couple of the Pay It Forward attendees had to say about their experience at Shambala this year…
We had an AMAZING time at Shambala thank you so much. The children especially enjoyed Playtopia, where we spent most of our time! The tent was beautiful and comfortable, and the food was all delicious (there’s no way I could afford festival food without the meal vouchers). Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d be able to share this sort of experience with my family and I’m so grateful to Shambala and the beautiful people who pay it forward.
I really can’t think of anyway you could improve on this. It was well organised and I felt cared for from start to finish. I made a small donation when we got home to pay it forward to the next family.
Now the dust has settled I thought it’s time to thank you all for the tickets for Shambala. I had a great time. I took my two teenage daughters with me. It was their first festival, they enjoyed themselves and it was nice and easy for them to experience the vibe.
Being in a wheelchair now, this was my first festival in a chair which was worrying for me, but I can say that side is well thought about and caused no issues. We had a great time and we would like to send you big love and thank you.

If you’re in receipt of the Government’s Cost of Living payments, have never attended Shambala before, and would like to join us on a Pay It Forwards full festival experience, keep an eye on our website and socials over the coming months, for these applications opening. Once again, applicants will be chosen via a random ballot, managed by our partners, Tickets For Good.
