Seize the tools, carve wood, and create something beautiful today. Carve Diem is where you can learn practical and grounded skills in celebration of traditional woodworking. This is a space to slow down, connect and whittle away some time making something marvellous with your own two hands.
This space is hosted by the members of our crew who live and breathe wood and woodland management. They live in a variety of communities around the South West and Wales and build roundwood structures, wooden buildings, traditional handcrafted furniture and household items. They bring the traditional structure with them and provide woodworking demonstrations all weekend,
three additional hands-on workshops per day (spoon carving, woodland management, roundwood timber frame making, green woodworking), as well as a cosy fire circle in the early evenings – sometimes with acoustic off-the-cuff folk jams.
