For many people with physical or sensory disabilities, sex, intimacy and consent can present unique challenges. This can range from understanding what different sex acts are – especially as language changes so quickly, to building the confidence to communicate with your partner/s.
If you are someone with a physical or sensory impairment who is looking to explore consent, and intimacy while improving your sex life, then this workshop is for you. Led by CJ and Jennie from Enhance the UK’s Undressing Disability, this workshop will provide a safe and supportive space to discuss all things related to disability, love, sex and consent. During the workshop, you will have the opportunity to:
- Spin the sex term wheel and test your knowledge of how much you know!
- Explore pain, pleasure and how to communicate consent
- Discover new and innovative sex toys and equipment that can enhance your sexual experiences
- Discuss how disability and neurodiversity intersect with giving consent and how to navigate safety while balancing your desires.
- Connect with other disabled individuals and allies who aim to promote more inclusive and empowering approaches to consent and sexuality.
This workshop is open to individuals with any level of physical or sensory impairment, as well as their partners and allies. Whether you are just starting to explore your sexuality or you are looking for support and connection, this workshop will provide a welcoming and supportive environment to learn, grow, and connect.
