An ex-teacher, Mark Grist is now a multi-award-winning poet & children’s author with over 60 million views for his poetry & rap videos online.
He has been honoured in two categories at the Webby Awards, won two International Lovie Awards for his poetry online, has been named Edinburgh Fringe Slam Champion and has toured hundreds of schools around the world. He recently signed a three-book deal with Bloomsbury and the first of these, ‘Rhinos Don’t Cry’ is currently in shops and libraries around the world.
Mark was a pastoral head and English teacher for five years and every year he works with over sisxty primary and secondary schools around the world, helping English departments to engage students in work.
Recently, Mark’s work has appeared on BBC1, ITV, BBC Teach, Channel 4 and BBC 6 music. He starred in Mr Drew’s School for Boys for Channel 4 a few years ago and recently starred in Redbull TV’s ‘Mark Grist Battles The World’.
