Built by play boffins and populated by all sorts of wonderfully creative and strange creatures.  There’s a huge amount of fun and adventure to be had from 9 – 5 Friday, Saturday and Sunday.

Back again is The Adventure Play Pavilion, our own wild take on a sort of fun house meets adventure playground!

This year we are pleased to introduce Chesstival! Learn the game, get some top tips, challenge a friend or join the daily speed chess competitions.  Check Mate!

Our good friends the totally awesome Super Pirates will be back, a gang of play pro’s ready to lead you in huge dance offs and bouncy games on their giant inflatable rings.

If it’s all too much you can escape into the Regulation Station.  A new space to relax, decompress and stimulate your senses.

Of course, it wouldn’t be Playtopia without the Big Top Mania tent with an astonishing line up of entertainment.  We’ll have world class circus shows, the mesmerising Mr Pineapple Head, a bubble show, Roustabout Theatre with ‘Everybody’s Business’, some very funny puppet shows and a lot more besides.

We’ve got tents popping at the seams with arty and creative activities to get stuck into, including the ‘Into the Woods‘ tent where all the creating is nature based.

The Chango Music tent is here of course and packed with music making, dance and crazy fun.

Toddlers are spoiled with our huge play area from Traveller Space and the Toddle Inn, with free play on a giant scale. Join in with the dancing, singing, making, painting, giant soft play and some mini house building!

So come and check out the blackboards outside each tent for the times of activities, or just get involved with a list of fun things so long it can’t even be written down.

And don’t forget to look out for giant inflatables, trampolines, giant bubbles and even a real talking robot.
