A practical workshop on how to forage and grow sustainable and local natural dyes and use them to dye patches and threads for visible mending. We will dye linen patches and natural fibre threads, to be used for darning and repairing holes in clothing in the mending workshop the following day.
Learn how to use mordants and modifiers for creative colour designs, as well using plants and kitchen scraps to re-dye and re-love old clothing. We will discuss how textiles and fashion fits into the bigger picture of regenerative solutions to the climate crisis.
