What an honour it is, to be welcoming Reggae icons, The Congos, to Shambala for the very first time.
Their 1977 genre-defining debut, The Heart of The Congos was produced by Lee Scratch Perry and is a clear contender for greatest Reggae album of all time.
A Jamaican vocal group formed in the mid-70’s by Cedric Myton and Roydel “Ashanti Roy” Johnson, The Congos later became a trio with the addition of Derick “Watty” Burnett completing the classic line-up. Presently, the vocal group also features Kenroy “Tallash” Fyffe.
See out Sunday night in style with the most gorgeous harmonies, from Roots Reggae royalty. We’ll probably have a happy cry.
