Intro to Food Solidarity

We’re living in a time characterised by skyrocketing need for food banks and community food services, but what happens if we use these spaces created to patch up the system’s cracks to, instead, force it wide open and make real change?

Creating common-ground projects around cultural heritage from which communities can come together and organise for real, meaningful change. This interactive workshop explores food solidarity through this lens.

We’ll look at practical community organising tools and explore ideas of dual power, third space, and methods for winning social change. You will have the option to leave with a personalised step-by-step plan for setting up or reinvigorating your own food solidarity project.
