Barnacle takes participants on a journey of discovery and understanding about how permaculture can be used for production and architecture, creating a more sustainable society for humans. Alongside this, he will provide composting and gardening techniques. Within a 1 hour workshop, participants will learn what permaculture is, followed by an exploration of how our communication can mimic the formation of root networks that enable communication and cooperation between plants and fungi.
The exploration of communication will be articulated through an auditory and artistic exercise. Using free-form finger painting and sound as an instigator, we discover the roots of interconnectivity. Just like plants and fungi, humans communicate without speech too.
Join us on a journey that allows us to connect without speech, using the unspoken word as a tool for self-discovery and interconnectivity…
